About
I’m David Feimer. I’ve been a Unix Systems Programmer for over 30 years, with brief stints working on embedded systems.
For most of those 30 years, I’ve worked on storage solutions, starting with support for optical media (CD and DVD).
After optical media, I worked on software that emulated tape drives for IBM Mainframes. This included writing firmware and dived drivers for host bus adapters that connected Unix/Linux systems to a mainframe.
Besides providing storage for mainframes, I also helped customers use open system tools to process their data on Unix hosts.
